FOO Magazine Volume Eight: Decarhythm

Author // Baz

Orphan 101 and Bloodman are two DJ / Producers with one similar aim. They strive to make good, interesting and often very experimental electronic music, whatever the genre. Neither of their music really falls into a category or genre as they both are true to their varied influences across the wide spectrum of music. They like different sounds and that’s what makes them who they are. Their own sound oscillates between deep minimal techno and house and sometimes more dubstep/grime sounds appear as well. Their shared interest for individual, meaningful music which steers away from the ever so popular dubstep wobble has been at the origin of the creation of their own record label DecaRhythm, along with Headhunter AKA Addison Groove. DecaRhythm is used by the pair as a platform to share their sound to the world and has already gained considerable recognition since its launch in early 2010.

Their mix is about showcasing Bloodman and Orphan 101′s own newly produced material, forthcoming DecaRhythm releases as well as other artists’ from across the musical spectrum. Incorporating their Traktor set up that enables them to push their DJing abilities one step further.
