FOO Magazine: A brief history

FOO Magazine spawned out of a love for partying and making films. In 2007 we created the 'Five On One’ DVD series documenting some of the best raves in Bristol. The series was so popular that where ever there was a flyer outlet one of our free DVD’s wouldn’t be far away. Before the dubstep explosion we were in the clubs filming parties and hitting up some of favouite haunts: Clockwork, Lakota and The Blue Mountain. Obsessively chasing bass music and being there at some of the biggest moments in electronic music with camera in hand documenting the whole affair.
We had all this amazing nightclub footage and decided it needed a home and in 2009 we went online and never looked back. With a steadily a growing community of FOO followers. FOO became a part of some of the UK’s biggest raves with nights like Shit The Bed, Bedlam, Detonate and Hospitality giving FOO cameras exclusive access to the ravers and DJs.
To date we've filmed club nights from Cardiff to Vauxhall, been on tour across US with Caspa and the Dub Police crew, interviewed almost every bass music DJ out there from Skream, Andy C, Benga, Sinden, to Modeselektor, Grooverider and Starkey... The list goes on and we continue to expand the FOO archive with breaking and legendary DJ and producer talent from all over the UK.
This year we have re-designed the website and strive to bring you not only amazing club and event coverage from across the UK but also the freshest mixes, photography and articles from across the world of bass music. But it doesn’t stop there, we want you to get involved.
